I like this sport and have lots of fun participating in shoots around the country. At Winter Range 04, I got qualified as a Range Officer Black Badge Instructor, the first one in the Southwestern part of New Mexico, and like to give the class. I was the first RO Instruction for southwestern New Mexico, but since I have cut back on my cowboy shooting I am no long giving RO classes. I have almost stopped going to going to large SASS™ shoots because of the charge for my wife to come watch me shoot. If my wife did not support my shooting game I would not be shooting any cowboy action. She likes to come watch for one day, go through the vendors and usually spends a couple hundred dollars if not more. It is not the money, its the principle of the charge. I don't mind paying extra for dinners or other activities, but refuse to pay extra to have her come watch me shoot for one day.
